Local Entrepreneurs had the opportunity to network, share, and learn about the experience of other entrepreneurs this week at the RISEing Entrepreneurs Networking & Speaker Series at Bates Farm Kitchen in Sandusky, OH this week.

Entrepreneurs Networking

The speaker for the event was Daniel Jones, Ohio native and graduate of Case Western Reserve. Daniel spoke about his current tech startup initiative. He shared many of the challenges he faces getting the business off the ground, which entrepreneurs in attendance across all industries could relate to. Participants ranged from business owners in wellness, government officials, schools and chamber personnel, FinTech professionals, aspiring entrepreneurs, interested citizens, and more.

In addition to discussing the challenges of starting a business, Daniel discussed some of the benefits of entrepreneurship and gave some advice. He spoke on timelines, partners, and short and long term goals. He also recommended the book Zero To One by entrepreneur and investor Peter Thiel. The book shows how to build a great business and presents a new way of looking at innovation. Click here to find the book on Amazon.
