Total enrollment at the 39 Ohio colleges and universities within a 100-mile radius of Erie County, Ohio is almost 310,000 students. These include Ohio State University, Kent State University, the University of Toledo, and the University of Akron. Bowling Green State University-Firelands College and EHOVE, a career and vocational school, are located right in Erie County itself.
Bowling Green State University- Firelands College
Enrollment 2,000: Firelands is one of Bowling Green State University’s seven undergraduate colleges and is located in the City of Huron in Erie County, Ohio. Students can begin one of the more than 200 BGSU undergraduate majors and programs at BGSU Firelands. BGSU Firelands offers 4 certificate programs, 14 associate degree programs representing 22 areas of study, and 8 bachelor’s degree programs.

EHOVE Career Center
EHOVE Career Center is a leading career tech school in Milan Township that offers advanced training for high school and adult education students in Erie, Huron and Ottawa Counties. Students are challenged with engaging career tech and academic courses that incorporate real world experiences and the latest technology. High school and adult students have an opportunity to earn industry credentials and college credits to prepare them for transition to a post-secondary program, or for entry into an in-demand, high level, technical job.

North Coast Young Professionals exists to attract and retain young talent in the area. They are dedicated to finding new ways for young adults to connect with our community, grow personally and professionally, and live life to its fullest. We realize that we need one another. Young Professionals
North Coast Young Professionals can be found in all walks of life. Members include government officials, financial advisors, construction managers, bankers, marketing executives, accountants, small and large business owners, media executives, real estate agents and more. With the focus of our group being networking, developing personal and leadership skills, education, and volunteerism, NCYP can provide opportunities for young professionals across all industries.
Young professionals are career-focused and looking for how to better themselves and their careers. They want to know that there are resources available in the community that can help them reach their goals. Research shows that when YP’s feel they can make a difference in their community, they are more likely to stay in the region.
